I'm thinking more and more about this createspace thing for Tenebrism. So I don't know, really. The book still needs massive massive edits and lots of fixing and stuff, but the free code doesn't expire until next June or something. And I go around thinking I can't self-publish a book, that's for crazy people! And then I realize a lot of FP authors have self-published copies of their stuff. And a lot of them are younger than me. So it really, seriously, can't be that hard. And a lot of other people just in general do self-published copies of their writing and their webcomics and it seriously isn't an unachievable thing. I guess I just really want a hard copy to prove look look look I finished a whole fucking novel for the first time ever, just to myself. 'cause I'm sure as hell not showing it to anyone I know in real life.
OH HAI MY FAKE BOOK COVER. I just thought I'd mess around or whatever and try and make something look kinda cool. Nowhere near a graphic designer or anything, but I tried. I don't even know if you can even do something that specific on createspace. Also I wonder how hard it would be to be able to use an image of a painting (this is Caravaggio's The Calling of Saint Matthew which is an example of guess which kind of painting) on a book cover. I mean, it's hardly copyrighted, but still.
Also that name there is not anywhere near to my real name. If I published, even self published, I am never going to use my real name. I would hate to have to explain to anyone I know what the hell I'm doing writing gay fantasy if they ever stumbled across it. Because I'm sure I would lose several of my more conservative friends and my parents would then be utterly convinced I have sexuality issues. I have no idea what name I really would use, that one on the fake cover has just been one I've kicked around for a bit.
Pleh. It's stuff I am thinking about.
