I'm totally stressed out again... booked a single hotel for every day I'll be there, but didn't factor that I'd want something downtown for when I have to go from bus station to train station the next day. Then I find out I can't cancel the reservation. Re-working the bus ticket has been likewise problematic.
For the link... you know there has been a lot of talk about scientific literacy and about scientists reaching out to the public. There are however times when you realize that there's probably a sizable part of "the public" that's about as bright as a black cat at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and about as conscious.
I thus present an article sent to me about "bombing" the surface of the moon to look for water. The article is pretty standard, but go to the comments and start reading from the oldest. If you get through 5 pages (heck, any single page is probably enough) without doing a facepalm, it might be a good idea to take a refresher physics course (or get a psych evaluation). Comments on sites like this (of every political persuasion) always have their share of nuts, but this story is like a Planter's factory explosion.
Oh, and if any really make you laugh hard, feel free to mention them. There's far too many for any one person to sift through.
