What do you use to protect your stuff against the loving attentions of airport baggage handling?

it's made by Rubbermaid. You can find them at Walmart or Crappy Tire in the truck-box section.

I sort of figured on checking out Canadian Tire. Heading there tomorrow. I'm not really a fan of WalMart. Thanks though, I didn't think of looking in that section. That saves me a lot of time. :)

I think they run about $5 less at Walmart.

But the truck-box aisle is something I wish I had known when I was shopping for them. I spent about a month searching about 10 different Crappy Tires for Action Packers..... in the storage bin aisle. I knew they had them, but I couldn't find them, and nobody knew what I was talking about D: Eventually I just randomly stumbled across them in the truck-box section >.>

$5 isn't much considering that I was pondering a hard sided suitcase... let's just say I could get one of those or a new game system. So, $5 doesn't seem like too bad a thing. The WalMart is opposite Can Tire here so I'll check both out

I found them at Canadian Tire... teeny problem though. The one that's the right size is about 1.3in larger than the max allowed dimensions for (free) checked bag.

Like I said, I've got the 35 gal one. Technically it is oversize for checked baggage, but I've never once been charged for oversize. They never even measured it... I've flown AirTran, Southwest and Delta (pre-baggage fees) with it so far.

Of course if you get one person that decided to make an issue of it you're charged $75 (AirCanada) or $175 (Delta). They weren't clear, but that could possibly be each way too.

Just a weensy problem tho... the only model that would be close to the right size is about 1.3in larger than the largest checked bag allowed (free). And I've had the people at the counter that do measure the larger items. :(

3rd-ed and 4th-ed! I've got one and Windy has two of these ones. :)

[...and big congrats on the suit, dude! It's still awesomely weird, even now, looking into the eyes of my characters.

Unfortunately, the only one that's the right size...the measurements listed exceed largest checked bag size by 1.3in.
