OT - quick question

This is the most active Terminator community I can find and I need to to know this for a fic I'm writing.

How do Sarah and Kyle pay for the hotel in the first movie? Does Sarah have a wallet/some money on her? Or do they get the cash some other way?

Kyle has it. As he and Sarah are walking up to the motel Kyle pulls a hand full of crumpled bills from his pocket and asks Sarah ' Is this enough?'. She replies ' Yea it's enough, don't want to ask where ya got it'.
