I Love My Painter!!

I finally saved up enough money and got up enough courage to pick out some paint colors. There are so many! And I love them all! Well, the oranges and blues, not so much, but all the others, yes.

Now Terry, painter extraordinaire, is at my house painting his little heart out. He’s chatty and fun and I grill him with endless questions about painting (that boy’s a wonder) and house building (which he does on the side) and we talk real estate (which is the bad right now) and he tries to get me to fry chicken for him (which I won’t) and we discuss the merits and demerits of home schooling (which they do and which I applaud) and he tells me all about the hideous new paint colors for this season and how those neon greens give him a headache. His favorite color is white. Huh. So I don’t mention the Green Apple #4 by Eddie Bauer until he actually opens it. And stares. And swirls it half-heartedly with his paint stick as if hoping it will morph into white when it’s mixed better. And then gives me a pained look. So I grin. :D For what I’m paying him he can buy some Tylenol.

Then later he suggests that since everything is away from the walls I should just paint the living room and he’s got time to do it without stopping. So now my house is heading toward lighter, more fun look with Green Apple and Lemon Ice on the living area walls while my bedroom is tranquil and calm with a color called Oatmeal that I could seriously *eat* because I *adore* it so, and my tiny, former blood-colored bathroom is now a calming and serene Ocean.

Today is the one week anniversary of the day that browncoat_2x2and her very sweet husband left my house after spending a too-short week with me. We had such fun shopping in antique/junque stores, seeing fossils, listening to dulcimer music, eating Mexican food, talking, and watching The Venture Brothers. It took me two days to rest up after that week but I enjoyed it so much. I can’t wait ‘til they come back.

I’m going to see Mercy Me tonight! My life is very sweet right now.

And now back to doing routine office tasks for coin so that I can pay Terry to paint the living room. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
