Yellow Toad Failures
During the convention last month, my roommates and I played a two-hour session of The New Super Mario Bros. Wii. For all of you who loved the original Super Mario Bros (waaaaayyyy back in the 8-bit nintendo days), this game brings back all of the original magic, with simultaneous four-player action. Needless to say, it was crazy fun, and with so much going on at once, at times it became pretty difficult to keep track of everything happening on the screen.
One of my roommates was, sadly, a bit inexperienced with Super Mario Bros, and he ended up dying quite frequently. In fact, by the end of the 2 hour playing session, he had racked up more than 100 deaths. Since he was playing as the yellow toad, we decided to replace the word 'FAIL' with the phrase 'Yellow Toad', and we used it for the remainder of the convention.
With apologies to Desert_Wolf, I drew up a comic commemorating the event.
