FINALLY!!!
i finally got an email from jesse. about freakin time! anyways, he said that his class had just gotten started and he's been working on a settlement so he's been real busy. he's living in an area of the town run by a tibetan family, and he says every morning when he leaves he has to tie the gate with a string to keep the cows from coming in and eating all the plants. the settlement he's working on is run by an Australian guy named Johnny who's 60 and jesse said he enjoys talking with him at tea time. he also said that there's a harvest festival coming up called pungal, so at 4:30 in the morning they blast music in preparation (whatever). it all sounded kind of random, but it's good he's having a good time i guess. he said they have a phone in the pavilion and that he'll be calling me soon.
