Oh wow. Amazing. So right. I couldn't picture them together either. But this works so well. I wish I were as inspired for my contribution

Really big *PHEW*. I'm so glad you liked it, I was a little worried since I couldn't seem to maneuver them into anything more slashy. Hopefully your muses won't take as long as mine did to kick themselves into gear.

you certainly capture the antagonism and the connection between these two. the ending is killer -- surprising and smart and very powerful.

I'm catching up with my reading and getting to this very late, but wanted to tell you what an excellent job you did! I like the antagonism and think it makes a lot of sense for these characters. And the ending is quite powerful -- well done!
