#NaBloPoMo Day 9: Personal Blog Day

Dec 09, 2010 21:12

Today's blog is powered by: Coffee, Pepsi and Skittles

This week has been a kind of hectic, I didn't really have any plans so I'm not sure how it ended up that way. Tonight is the first night I've actually be able to sit down and work on one of my manuscripts rather than just trying to keep even with my blogging.

Delly and I went tree shopping on Monday and my proud seven foot pine is now set it up in the corner of the living room. It's still naked, I'm hoping to decorate it this weekend. As I write this, I'm watching the Grinch Who Stole Christmas  (the Jim Carrey version) to get myself into the holiday spirit.

It helps that there's finally snow on the ground and it's cold outside. Yes, I'm odd, I enjoy cold weather. I'm not talking freeze your nostrils shut kind of cold (although coming from Alberta, I've had my fair share of that), but I don't mind a nice crisp morning. Unfortunately, the finger I broke this summer (which I don't think is properly set judging by the weird curve in it) is not enjoying the cold weather. I'm not sure whether it's a combo of all the computer work lately as well as the cold but it aches like a bitch and typing is not fun. Che sera.

There isn't really much to write (which is precisely why I'm only doing a personal blog once a week). It's been mostly work and getting the NaBloPoMo done which is proving to be a little more difficult than I initially thought it would be. It's different from NaNo because the goal is to post every day, not just meet a certain word count by a set date. It's been taking up a lot more time than I planned on which has been taking away from editing my other work. I think I'm finally getting into a groove which will help but I don't know that'll I'll be able to keep up daily posts forever. We shall see.

Blog over.
