Hana Dan vs F4 ep3
Hello, hello I am back. Celebrating Domyouji''s birthday (30.1.) I am bringing you another comparison of two BOF versions. Episode 3 of F4 Thailand was again well produced and I am so far very much satisfied how the show is progressing. Without much ado let's see how the both countries portrayed the story.
WARNING there are certain spoilers from the dramas so if you are not familiar with manga,anime or both dramas (Japanese and Thai) I dont reccommend reading this article. (:
Both episodes start with boys teasing leader of the group about the kiss on the party. Ofc they gonna live from this for months XD
And ofc our leader is denying that it was his 1st kiss. Yes Rui/Ren is not with the group because of the fight they had with Domyouji/Thyme.
And then we get to see conversation of Rui/Ren and Shizuka/Mira. She is trying to make him reconcile with his friend Domyouji/Thyme. Then dramatic scene follows where Shizuka/Mira explains her plans the future.
Hearing her plans Rui/Ren is disappointed and angry. To add more angs we see that Makino/Gorya overheard the whole conversation. She wanted to return handkerchief he gave her at the party. (This whole ep should be called Makino/Gorya desperately following Rui/Ren like a lost puppy :P) Like really in both version the girl treats the handkerchief as sacred, we get to see how she wash it and irons it properly. The girl is keeper.
After this dramatic encounter Makino/Gorya is worried about Rui/Ren. What is worse her family is again teasing her to get rich husband.
Another very anticipated and legendary scene!!! Big sis of Domyouji/Thyme 1st appearance! And look, what an iconic queen she is! (This is how you properly raise you lil bro, girls take notes XD.) Yes our F4 leader is punched by his big sister for chasing the poor Makino/Gorya. Sis then saves our heroine and takes her to school and again huge rumors are spread all over the place. Being Makino/Gorya is sure tiring, is not it? Anyway I totally loved the interaction between the girls, they sure have similar character traits.
Later we get to see nice sibling bonding time lol. Big sis is giving her brother pep talk and advices to get better person. Anyway their sibling dynamics is great in both versions. Still it seems to me Thyme is more softer to his sis than Domyouji is. Both episodes showed lovely scene when Makino/Goriya and Domyoiji/Thyme were watching stars. What do you think our leader wished for? :)
See? Girls holding the precious piece of cloth XD in this episode handkerchief plays main role guys.
Next day, believe it or not, our girl meets the prince charming and YES she FINALLY gives him the handkerchief XD XD *applause*
Ok our pair get sweet dialogue on their beloved rooftop only to jealousangry leader secretly see them. :P
Rui/Ren then takes Makino/Gorya to say her farewell to Shizuka/Mira. I wont spoil much but in this scene we get to see how great person Makino/Gorya is to prioritise Rui/Ren's hapiness. I must say I liked dramatic dialogue between Gorya and Ren much better than in Japanese version. Ren was more reasonable and what is more he TALKED! He properly said how he felt and what was on his mind. However, Rui in Japanese version just silently left Makino in the rain without giving her any reaction to what she said to him.
The day of Shizuka's/Mira's flight came and boys went to see her off. Both episodes presented cute farewells but Thai one, where Mira encouraged Gorya to be strong woman and chase her dreams totally won me. For some reason Shizuka in Japanese was not that close to Makino as Mira in Thai F4. And finally, Ren/Rui makes appearance only to shock boys with his sudden decision.
Ok but this scene was both cute and funny! Ruo/Ren being sweetheart, teasing his friend' s nerves. Seems that our angryjealous leader cant belive his eyes XD
Following scene shows that Domyouji/Thyme has grown as a person a bit. Old F4 leader would not care whether his friend is leaving abroad and just pick up a fight. Finally friendship won over his anger and we get to see Domyouji's /Thyme's soft side. I have to admit, sorry Vachi, Jun nailed this scene like a boss. The emotion in his eyes told it all how he treasures his friendship with Rui. However, Thai version made the boy's farewell much cuter than Japanese original with Thyme crying and hugging his dear friend. Inded we can feel strong bond of brotherhood in both versions. ♥
Last but not least, another memorable and probably the notoriously well known scene is when Domyouji/Thyme asked Makino/Gorya on a date. Both versions revealed dorky side of our leader when he invited his crush. We also get to see Makino/Gorya hesitating and spending the day with her friend only to realise she is thinking of that spoiled brat all the time. Finally, the rain added to the guilty feelings of our heroine and made her rush to the promised meeting spot. To her big shock she spot totally drenched boy in eccentric outfit still waiting in the rain. Now, this is what you call legendary scene. Yes again this episode showed how F4 leader is slowly changing for a better person.

I am happy that this episode explained much about Mira and Ren relationship. Also we get to see more from Thyme's complex personality. Slowly we are getting enjoyable scenes of boy's friendship. Even thought I am familiar with original story I am very curious about how Thai version would present Thyme' s mom and sister and also we still did not get enough insight into the characters of Kavin and MJ. Let's continue to explore what more the story has to tell.
