What a day!
Today was my first day at UB which definately had it's ups and downs. Parking was actually easier than I expected! I managed to find a spot semi-close to the acedemic spine. I get to school and wait to get into my first class when I start having a mini anxiety attack. People just started filling the hall and I started thinking to myself, what am I doing here?? I get into class (Survery of French Lit) starting to feel the intimidation. I was so relieved when Kristin walked in to find out we're both freaking out about being there. The rest of the day is alright and I even ran into a friend from high school while walking to get lunch. We catch up and all is good. I have some free time after Francophone lit and I managed to get in another class as well as figure out my Chinese class situation. My 2 1/2 hour Linguistics class made my butt hurt for sitting for such a long period and even getting a break didn't help much with that at all. At least that class only meets once a week. I go to the library to print up some of my readings for class and the wait for the printer is 2 hours long! Even running to pick up books and doing errands didn't pass enough time for my readings to turn up. I guess I figured out another disadvantage of being at such a big school. Well, I'm planning on sticking it out this time and actually getting a degree? Who wants to start taking bets otherwise?
