Morning Roommate Drama
Today was the straw that broke the camels back.
Alright 2 weekends ago I took it upon myself to clean the entire apartment spotless. It looked beautiful. Well my roommates have helped to keep it looking that way and I was very thankful, so I left them a note on the counter that said, "Thank you girls for helping to keep the apartment clean and tidy....It looks AWESOME." No condescending tone whatsoever
Amanda didn't quite take it as a compliment. She wrote a note back that said, "If you want the place to be to clean, why don't you take out your garbage (it's Ashley's turn but I will take it out), and why don't we move the closet shelf that has been behind the couch since the beginning of the year? Just wondering?"
My response. "Amanda, I can't believe your remarks. When I decided to take it upon myself and clean the whole apartment I did it without asking or expecting anything in return.....not even a thank you. I took out your garbage for you and picked up after you. I left the note to be a nice one and not condescending like most of the notes left here. I was truely thankful that it looks awesome. Apparently thank yous are wasted on you. I'm convinced you are always unhappy with something, so please don't take your unhappiness out on me. I think you are being a spoiled brat bitch about everything, and if I never speak to you it will be too soon."
