Wow....today.....at 5.30pm we will have been in Guam for 1 week. It seems almost unreal that we are actually here. Paul is still in-processing his SQ and the base and I'm just chilling out at the library (today, anyway). The weather here is wonderful (just a bit too humid for my taste though)......the highs have been in the upper 80s.....and the lows in the middle 70s. Ahhhhh! It's nice. We are waiting for base housing now. We probably won't get a house until about the 23rd of this month. We accepted a newly renovated house, so they are just waiting on carpeting. I hope they get it done before the 23rd......I'm so tired of living in a hotel (even though the hotel is really nice).
here are some pictures (more soon):
It is taking time to get adjusted. Since are 14 hours ahead of eastern standard time, we get lots of news late (like we get Good Morning, America at 7am the next day). Our sponsor was telling us that all the television shows are a week behind! How nice....I had a hard enough time trying to keep from being spoiled of my favorite shows when I was in the States. This will be interesting....and I've yet to find out if there are WB and UPN affilates here........2 of my favorite shows are on those networks! I guess I'll know more once we get moved on base and get cable.
Later!
