Today in Jemiah's life:
-Feeling much better after four days of sinus-infectiony cold hell. All except for my left eye. Some of you may remember the golden age of my right eye being struck with idiopathic uveitis (that'd be 2003, bob). I sure remember it. It sucked. I hope it hasn't come back again, but at least I know what it's about. Sunglasses ALL THE TIME, boy howdy.
-My lateral epicondylitis (a.k.a. "tennis elbow") is vastly improved. I am 99% pain free now. I do funky physical therapy exercises all the time; they feel good, and no, I'm not just trying to punch the wall in slow motion.
-Watching Series 5 of Doctor Who. Matt Smith is a tasty slampiece; so is Karen Gillan, but man, her character Amy Pond is all woman, ain't she? Common as dirt, lusty, annoyingly repetitive, and possessed of seriously sexy legs. WOOF! I also have a mad crush on Rory... and of course, to no one's surprise, River Song is my new hero. She joins the pantheon of goddesses composed of Adelle DeWitt, Angela Petrelli, Laura Roslin, Aeyrn Sun, and if we're talking Real Life, Miss Michelle Obama. Do not fuck with these bitches; they will cut you. Anyway, Doctor Who is brilliant, of course, and I'm loving it.
-Benedict Cumberbatch? Yeah. Y'know. I have ATONEMENT out from Netflix; at the library there's STARTER FOR 10, and some nature documentary he narrated. Got it bad. Also have it bad for Andrew Scott - the other Andrew Scott, the actor, Irish, black eyed, and wee, and so terribly wonderful as Moriarty. He is an actor of limited range - his role as Paul McCartney (!) in LENNON NAKED was performed almost exactly the way he performs Moriarty, if somewhat calmer, less unhinged, and with actual life in his eyes. Not that you need life in your eyes to play Paul McCartney, of course. :)
-Horny? Yes. Moving on.
-My mum spent the weekend in the hospital. I am concerned, but calm about it. My brother is flying up to break her out of the joint, and my stepdad is cutting short his tour of duty in Iraq, so she'll be in good hands. Which is good, because I'm broke, and I can't be flying out there again right now. Unless someone comes through with a bunch of money, which is unlikely.
-Still working on my Sherlock fic. I'm intimidated by the quality of fic done in this fandom. Then again, there was some utterly brilliant Heroes fic, and all it did was inspire me to up my game. There's room for me, too.
-Voice of the Blood will be out on time, May 11, or something like that. Will provide more info as I get it.
-It's spring. It's kind of beautiful and kind of gross.
