happy boxing day/more BSG nerdity

I hope that you all had a pleasant Christmas Day, and are having a good Boxing Day - ideally, not at work, unlike me. It's not so much that I mind being here - it's more that I am sunk under crushing boredom. It's a ghost town. It's so unbelievably quiet that it's unsettling. I wanna go home.

But, since I'm here and mostly idle with quite a bit of bandwidth at my disposal, I figured I'd catch up on my Battlestar Galactica webisodes. And I'm so glad I did! As usual, they are excellent (I remember their first round of webisodes; these ones are better, but only probably because they feature Gaeta and Eight, and who doesn't want to watch those pretty brown people? Plus, Felix totally rocks, and the storyline is good - small, but with larger implications and flashbacks and everything. Ah, Cylon-Occupied New Caprica! I hardly knew ye!) and I recommend them highly.

I hope I get a chance to watch at least the last 1/2 season before the show returns on January 16th, but I kinda doubt it - there's not a lot of free time between then and now. (thank you wovel, and thank you social life, for ruining my geekery plans.) BUT! BUT! BUT! I DO plan to watch at least the 1/2 season premiere at the Baghdad Theatre on Friday 1/16/09, and if it's awesome, and I feel OK about it, I may just start watching it there each week... a pitcher o' beer and a slice o' pizza and a bunch of other geeks... sounds like fun to me. That's the kind of situation where a gal like me is supposed to find available dudes - it's called "getting out and doing social things with other people who share your interests". So step up, geek dudes. These are my interests. Beer and Galactica. Can you dig it?

R.I.P. Eartha Kitt. I wanna be evil, too.
