OK, off to Seattle this weekend (going straight from work today). It feels totally surreal - it's been delayed so many times that I can barely process it now. How strange to actually be leaving town for a bit. It feels like it's been forever. I woke up this morning and petted the cat and started missing her already. She was being a real pill last night, I'm sure twigging that something was up, and then I started cleaning the apartment and that made her really upset. Dumb puss.
So... road food acquired and mostly set up... Draco the iPod loaded and charged... backpack fulla books, T-shirts, spare shoes. (Forgot to grab my earrings, though.) I feel so reckless, but again, it's so mundane. It's just weird for me. I used to do this all the time. How did I afford it...? Oh yeah... I didn't have cable then...
