I'd like to have a way that I could take notes on the novel I hope to write as it continues to take shape in my mind, and have it accessible easily from a lot of places - home, work, libraries, etc.
I have thought about just buying a big ol' notebook with sections and pockets, and keeping notes by hand - it's the most portable and more private way to do it - but I'd also like to add images when I run across them, and I can't exactly print out every cool image I see on the interweb tubes and tuck it into the notebook. Therefore, an online solution would be ideal.
HTML is another thought, but it can be tricky to get command-line access from everywhere, and I'd also have to keep checking all my links and suchlike for accuracy, and that would impede my creative flow, and put more of my energy into technicalities (which I really don't need right now).
Livejournal would be fast and free (I have plenty of invites for myself if that's what I want to do) but as the entries are dated and stacked, I might have some trouble keeping track of where I am exactly... I suppose I could just keep "managing entry" every time I want to add something to one of the character, setting, or story entries - and possibly provide hotlinks within each entry to tie everything together. But somehow this also seems excessively complicated.
Anyone know of a good online tool or resource that might fit my needs?
