Tonight, as soon as I get off work, I'm going to jet on down to Lloyd Cinemas and see HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE at the special hyperexclusive preview screening for reviewers only.
I've been so good so far - I haven't seen a single preview or read any reviews, as most of the major US papers sent their reviewers over to London to see the premiere (or something else equally hoity-toity). Look for my review on jemovies later this week - it will be friends-only until the review is published in JUST OUT, which is how I get to go in the first place. Thanks, Jim!
I wonder if I'm going to run into David Walker while I'm there - it'd be groovy to get a ride home, as the movie is long as fuck, and it's a challenging/shitty bus trip home from LloydHell - but I won't hold my breath. Under different circumstances, it actually takes about as long to take the bus as it does to walk. I guess I should bring my CD player after all; hopefully the fascist fucks at the theater won't confiscate it, thinking it's some high-tech recording device. I mean, hell, I'm sure the movie's already been bootlegged and is probably available for £1 in Shanghai right now.
