Title: (untitled)
Author: terebi_ko
Rating: You know what, I think I'm gonna stop rating my fic because let's face it, I'll never write something beyond PG so..
Pairing: Ray/Walt (with Jamie Bell)
Summary/Prompt: Crossover AU with Jumper.

Ray is invincible.

Or at least that’s how he feels.

Ever since he found out about his ability, he’s been creating havoc everywhere. Stealing cars, robbing a bank, even party-hopping. Not alone, though. He’s always with Griffin, the kid that he found in an alley years ago, his lithe body tangled with electrified whip, convulsing. Blurring and gone for a second, then appearing again. And just with one glance Ray knew he was like him. Ray’s been taking care of him ever since. Although Walt wouldn’t call it that.

Sometimes he’s just tired of worrying. Tired of having to wake up in the middle of the night at the sound of whooshing and cracking because once again Ray landed on his coffee table. Sometimes Ray apologize while flashing Walt his usual grin. Sometimes he’s with Griffin and they’ll be giggling stupidly and all drunk and from drinking in some bar in German. But sometimes, there are also times when Walt would find silence after the sound of his broken coffee cups and plates. And Walt would find Ray alone in his kitchen, not laughing from adrenalin, not drunk. But lying on the floor, body spasming, fingers trying to unlaced electrified whip tangling his body, his breath uneven and barely conscious. Walt can see blood in his knuckles, in the corner of his lips, right under his eyes.

Usually, always, he’d take Ray to his bed. And he’d clean his wounds and at the concerned look on Walt’s face Ray would always says, “We’re at war, Walt.” With a hoarse voice. And Walt would just nod and sighed. Then he would proceed to the kitchen to make Ray something to eat but Ray would always be asleep by the time he finished. And usually Walt would join him under the duvet and sleep with him til morning. But then sometimes, he would slip outside quitely and call Brad.

“He’s doing it again.” He’d say. And he can hear Brad’s exasperated sigh over the phone. They’ve talked about this. About how this wouldn’t have happened if Ray and Griffin can be more subtle about their ability instead of jumping across the world leaving jumpscars all over the places for the Paladins to follow. But they both know that there’s nothing they can do. Nothing but pray that Ray and Griffin would keep each other safe. Because it’s Ray, and if he wants to jump to Saturn and play football there, or if he wants to chase some Paladins with electric whip, or if he wants to take Walt to see some penguins in the South Pole, then no one can stop him.

Ray is invincible.

In the next morning, Ray always promise Walt he’ll be more subtle the next time though. But Walt knows better. Ray has never been a good at keeping his words.
