trouble4hire and I spent the day going through our freezers. We have two, the one in the kitchen atop the fridge, and then a chest freezer in the basement that we bought from an SM dungeon which was going out of business (it had been used to store icecream and Otter Pops to refresh the guests).
We are now officially rich. Money? Nah. Veggie stock. Fish fillets. MEAT! In order to track our wealth and plan our meals, we started a
database of our foods, listing the item, the container (which gives us the approximate amount, since we put everything in either 2-quart tubs or 1-quart freezer bags), the location, and a miscellaneous column of other data we might need.
I am now fighting the temptation to do the same with the contents of fridge and pantry. The pantry MIGHT be worth it, but the food in the fridge should probably be considered high-turnover, and would only be irritating to try and track.
