Birthday celebrations

First off, I want to thank everyone who sent birthday wishes yesterday, I truly appreciate all the good wishes.

To celebrate my birthday we went out to eat at a local Portuguese restaurant. It was our first time eating out in 16 months! We had a seafood paella that was so good. The only bad part of dinner was that we went early to avoid a crowd but we missed the window for the grandbabies to facetime. Instead, my son sent a vid of the girls wishing me a happy birthday. So all is good. (They are so freaking cute)

Over Memorial Day weekend both my sons, youngest son's GF, my DIL, and the grandbabies came over for a BBQ. Unfortunately, it was a miserable day but we still managed to grill. My youngest granddaughter hasn't been to the house for 2 years. She wasn't even two last time she came over, so she didn't even remember our house and had a ball exploring.

It was so nice to see my family all together and having all the adults vaccinated, so the visit was free of COVID worry.

Monday I had an MD appointment and after 8 months of worry and 3 blood pressure meds, my blood pressure is finally at an acceptable level.

I hope all on my flist had a nice weekend and are having a good week!
