1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
I like them both. Hot chocolate is for when I'm really cold, it seems to take the chill out of my bones. Egg nog, I only do occasionally because it is so rich but I do love it, especially with a little bourbon added. ~_^
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Wrap.
3. Colored or white lights? White.
4. Do you hang a mistletoe? At one time I had plastic mistletoe that I used to hang but I realized it was incredibly cheesy and threw it out years, ago.
5. When do you put your decorations up? Hubby wants to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving but we try to hold him off until at least the first weekend in December
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Like Thanksgiving, it's all the sides, sweet potatoes, stuffing etc.
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? As a kid our stockings were left in our beds, to keep us in our beds a long as possible. We used to sneak into our sib's rooms to show each other what we got.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? A friend told me, I was about 8. I asked my dad if it was true and he asked "do you think there is a Santa Clause." I answered yes, and he said, "well then there is a Santa Clause." I wasn't very satisfied with his answer but now that I look back, it was the perfect answer.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? When I was a teen our parents let us open one gift on Christmas eve. I did this with my kids when they were teens but we haven't done it in years.
10. How do you decorate your tree? My tree ornaments are a mix of homemade and vintage ornaments. Hubby has his own little tree that he decorates with all NY Mets ornaments.
11. Snow - love it or hate it? Hate it, so, so much!
12. Can you ice skate? If you call hanging on to the railing taking baby steps...skating, then sure, I ice skate. ~_^
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I think I was about 18 and my parents gave me a Polaroid Camera. The reason it is my favorite gift, is because I never mentioned to anyone that I wanted the camera I was shocked when I opened my gift and found the camera.
14. What is your favorite holiday dessert? Pumpkin pie.
15. What's the most important things about the holidays? For me it's the true meaning of Christmas and family.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Everyone who is at the house, comes to our bedroom and we open stockings.
17. What tops your Christmas tree? An Angel.
18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? Really can't pick one since I like them both.
19. Favorite Christmas song? Religious..."Angels We Have Heard on High". Non religious.... "All I Want for Christmas is You".
20. Favorite Christmas movie? "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" the original cartoon, narrated by Boris Karloff.
21. What do you leave for Santa? Milk and cookies even after my kids stopped believing they still insisted we leave out cookies and milk.
