We've got light rain here but it's really, really windy.

I miss those machines too. They were fun.

The girls and I went to vote early this morning before it started raining. There were 4 pages to vote on, I almost forgot one. We all got our stickers.

They were fun! I love when you pushed the lever and the little X showed up.

Yes, the 4 pages were crazy and confusing. Thankfully, I double checked every thing at ballotpedia and with those booklets nyc mailed us, otherwise I would have been lost.

Wow, I've never seen nor dreamt of a contraption like that. It looks like it must have been fun!

(Here, we just put one of the candidate lists in an envelope if we vote straight ticket, and we can cross out or add plus signs to people within the list if we want. I don't think anyone scans them at any point.)

The machines were fun.

When the ballots are scanned they are sucked into a machine and kept there but the scan counts the votes. Too me the coloring in little circles, seems like a step backwards from a machine that you push buttons.

In NY it is not that easy to vote by mail. You have to apply for an absentee ballot and explain why you won't be able to vote in person. Then fill out the absentee ballot a week before the election.

I don't think, the excuse, that it might rain on election day is a good enough reason for them to let you have an absentee ballot.

No exuses!
Im a new citizen and still learning about US.

When I heard on the radio that people in Georgia spent 3HRS in line to vote… I was really sorry for them and angry cuz in California I voted at home by mail just coz its a convenient option - sign up once and last forever.
