Christmas was very nice, quite but nice. Oldest son, DIL and grandbaby spent Christmas in Chicago. So we has a small celebration the week before Christmas. Of course, the grandbaby enjoyed all the wrapping paper. In fact, she found the paper recycle bin and had a blast. While they are in Chicago, we are watching their sweet poochie, Roy

I'm so sorry to hear about your old friend passing.
That is now seven friends, all around my age, who have lost a spouse. So sad, and scary.
This really is scary. My poor dad had at least one funeral a month to go to a few years back. Halfway through the year he was like... all these people in his age bracket dying is getting scary on top of how sad it was.

Scary to have friends pass. I'm sorry about yours. Carrie Fisher has made me sad but reading about what happened on the plane I didn't hold out a lot of hope for her as it sounded like it was a massive heart attack :(
Small children love wrapping paper! That made me smile. I imagine having little ones around reminds you of when your babies did things like that?
