Christmas was very nice, quite but nice. Oldest son, DIL and grandbaby spent Christmas in Chicago. So we has a small celebration the week before Christmas. Of course, the grandbaby enjoyed all the wrapping paper. In fact, she found the paper recycle bin and had a blast. I love that your granddaughter had a good time with the wrapping paper. Kids are so cute lol. I'm glad that you guys had a good early Christmas celebration <3

I'm so sorry to hear about your old friend passing.

That is now seven friends, all around my age, who have lost a spouse. So sad, and scary.
This really is scary. My poor dad had at least one funeral a month to go to a few years back. Halfway through the year he was like... all these people in his age bracket dying is getting scary on top of how sad it was.

Scary to have friends pass. I'm sorry about yours. Carrie Fisher has made me sad but reading about what happened on the plane I didn't hold out a lot of hope for her as it sounded like it was a massive heart attack :(

Small children love wrapping paper! That made me smile. I imagine having little ones around reminds you of when your babies did things like that?

Carrie Fisher has made me sad but reading about what happened on the plane I didn't hold out a lot of hope I know, the words "massive heart attack" made me feel the same way. And Now her mom, that poor family.

Small children love wrapping paper! That made me smile. Yes, and when she found the storage bin I keep the paper recycle in it was super cute.

Sounds like a perfect Christmas. When you are relaxed and happy, everything else falls into place.

I'm sorry to hear about your old friend. This year has really brought home just how fragile life is, how quickly it can change. I guess all we can do is keep on keeping on.

That does sound like a nice Christmas; I have to admit to preferring quiet to a crowd at Christmas.

Sorry to hear of the death of your friend.
