Day 21 -- a recipe I’ve always loved baking, I found this recipe in a magazine when I was about 13 and it has been in my repertoire, ever since.
Apple/Sour Cream Coffee Cake
2tsp cinnamon
1/2 sugar
Mix together above 2 ingredients put aside
1/2cup butter
1-cup sugar
2eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2C sifted four
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 C sour cream
2 medium apples
Grease 9 in spring form pan pre heat oven to 350
Mix together sugar, butter and eggs until creamy
Then add vanilla until blended.
Sift together dry ingredients. Add them to butter mixture alternately with sour cream.
Put half of batter in pan. Top with apples then sprinkle half of sugar/cinnamon mixture on top. Add rest of batter then top with rest of sugar/cinnamon mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes.
