Apparently I am way out of the loop. I knew Charlaine Harris planned on ending the Sookie Stackhouse series, but I didn't know it was definitely going to be book 13 out May 2013. So, below is a poll on the series.

*sigh* I hate when I loose my comment even when I copy it.

I lost track of the new books coming out and fell behind. I have to read 9.5 or 10 A Touch of Dead / Dead In The Family, already in /on my TBR pile.

But I can't guess, being behind, how it will end. I wonder who will win Sookie....

I so surprised so many people don't care about the books. I'm still reading them and still loving them.

Oh I definitely want to finish this series - I've been reading them for a long time now when Amazon recommended the first book (*checks - since 2007*).

I will say that I thought the latest book was better than the previous - and that one was godawful. But I think it's been time to close these for a while and I really don't care who Sookie ends up with.

I still love the books and because of the popularity of the show I though others did too. According to the poll no one seems to care. I guess it is time for the series to end.

Except for one yummy Mr. Skarsgard and the awesomeness that is Kristen Bauer van Straten, the show is not really all that important to me. I haven't even finished watching this past season... though I'm sure I will at some point. The books, on the other hand, I have enjoyed. Stellar writing? Not so much, but I do look forward to the books when they come out.

I think somewhere I heard that Charlaine had committed to writing 2 more books (12 & 13), but I had completely forgotten. Guess our book!Sookie days are numbered.

At this point in time the show seems to be more popular than the books. I enjoy the show, especially how it always surprises me, even though I have read the books and I totally agree that Alexander Skarsgard and Kristen Bauer are awesome to watch. BUT.... the books are my first love and I am still totally invested in the story lines and the characters. That's why I was very surprised that no one, besides you, seems to care about the books.
