This weekend my inner Ma Ingels came out to play. ~_^ Sunday we went to a farm stand out on the island and loaded up on fresh fruit and veggies. When we came home I made dinner with all the goodies I got from the farm. Since we got a lot of cucumbers I made cucumber salad and Kosher dill pickles. I also got some very nice peaches and made my mom's Dutch apple cake but with peaches. Behind the cut is a picture of the cake and the pickles.
The pickles were ridiculously easy, as was the cake. The cake was yummy but we won't know how the pickles turned out until sometime next week. If anyone wants any of the recipes just ask.
I happen to see this article about celebrity's attire when traveling. I am always surprised how many people go to the airport without sox (even celebrities.) Am I the only one totally squiggy out about the concept of walking barefoot in the airport while going through security?
