catch up
Haven't updated in a while, so here goes. Still no job, but a bunch of leads I need to get off my ass and follow up on. Still no apartment, though at the moment that has to wait until I have work.
I spent yesterday morning helping DeWayne move in, having helped move him and Morgan out the night before. That actually went really well, and we had all the stuff in the apartment, ready to be unpacked in a couple of hours. I then left to do laundry and shower and whatnot. I returned to their place around three, having cleaned up, put a little makeup on, and generally de-funkified from the moving we did in the morning. Got Dewayne's 'puter hooked up and running, and I cooked DeWayne and Morgan their first dinner in their new place. God I love to cook, it's so nice to create something and watch people enjoy it. :)
After that, I headed over to Matt and Nikki's for cookies, margaritas and a movie. We talked a bit about job stuff, and Matt informed me that everyone had talked about it, and they're going to cover my portion of the Myrtle Beach trip and I can pay them back when I'm back on my feet. Have I mentioned how great my friends are? I really don't know where I'd be without them, but the short answer is probably dead. Heh, so I ended up passing out on the couch, along with the two of them, and woke up ~10 AM today.
Came back here a little bit ago. I've got to shower in a few minutes, then head over to my boss's for his kid(and my friend)'s graduation party.
So I guess I've been incredibly social lately to make up for having nothing else to do, huh? I think tonight is going to be *me* time. I want to curl up with a book and forget myself for a few hours, and I've got just the book to do it with.
