Yikes, y’all. It’s been a while. As I said before, I moved and then technology took advantage of my distraction to unleash a full-scale rebellion on me and it was all a big bummer. So apologies for that, here’s this and probably something longer and something more depressing coming up relatively soon. But no promises, because shit’s kind of crazy ( Read more... )

oh my god this was so painful and hilarious and i just kept laughing shrilly and nervously and biting all my fingernails off in agony because you did it so well, the pain and the heartbreak and the edge and regret and loneliness and the complete miscommunication between two non-adults, and it was all so fucking well-done, and THEN ON TOP OF THAT THERE WERE VENN DIAGRAMS AND MIXTAPES. and amazing side stories. and bats. this was so good. oh, eames, oh, arthur, never fuck this up again. and god, the final image of Arthur laughing. and his repeatedly not-being-serious about shooting Eames. :( And Annie. And Arthur being terrified, and Eames trying to not care so much. How you balanced all that with so much comic relief just kills me. Ariadne and Yusuf are fantastic, together and apart, but especially together. I am going to start feeling mildly disappointed every time future fics don't involve impromptu strategy sessions in the lavatory and arguments about whether or not to climb into the vent. oh, and of course all it took for Yusuf and Ariadne to achieve true love was the theme from Dawson's Creek, while Arthur and Eames needed several reams of note-taking and probably several thousand dollars' worth of couples therapy in the form of espionage.

This fic, and all its appendices, were just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Hurrah.
