Xmas Wishlist!

Dec 18, 2005 11:29

Step One:

- Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and free to medium (DVD's?) to really big (new car/computer/house/TV) The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not pics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two:

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The person I got this from, (which was jasonwarlock) also asked people to leave a comment on his journal with the url of their wishlist, to make it easier to find and make sure now one missed it... which seems like a good idea.

My list is below. Most of my stuff on here is stuff that wouldn't cost much, if anything. Most are just things that would make me happy and some of them I could use to make others happy to, maybe. If you want to message me about anything here, juror2 at gmail dot com works.

---------------------------------

1) Juror2.net's store SUCKS. I'm making a better one up in Paypal right now. But honestly, I need serious help with it. I haven't the foggiest notion what makes something easy to surf and checkout. Do you have any webpage skills?

2) Juror2.net in general. Are you any good at layout? How about programming? I need some kind of program where I can upload my stick of the week and I don't have to spend a half hour inserting it manually into each catergory alphabetically and then rearrange all the surrounding sticks.

3) DVD's (I'd be very happy with burned copies): Roswell Season 1, Star Trek TNG seasons 4-7, Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead), Fushigi Yugi (The Mysterious Play).

4) Johnny The Homocidal Maniac Director's Cut. Or any comic by Johnen Vasquez.

5) I lost my copy of the Sims 2. :-( Can I burn yours?

6) A subscription to the Weekly World News. Not even kidding.

7) Do you know any festivals or Flea Markets besides Paly and DeAnza where I can set up a Juror2 booth for $100 or less? I don't even know where to look.

8) Any Living End paraphernalia. Old band shirts, stickers, whatever. God I love those guys.

9) Brand new, look like they've never been worn, blank t-shirts/sweatshirts of any size or color.

10) A haircut. Straight across the bottom.
