(no subject)
So I've had a relatively uneventful weekend, for the most part. (That is, as long as I skip over Friday night and pretend that it didn't happen....which hopefully I'll be able to do)Saturday I went grocery shopping and got drunk off a cheap bottle of vodka, and here it is Sunday. All I've done is slept late, did laundry, and now I'm here at my husband's work, updating my journal. So far, my life is pretty much the same, except I just don't know about my job. For those of you that don't know what I do, I'm somewhat of a supervisor at for customer service at a long distance company. The way that the ld company gets customers is through telemarketing. We have no commercials, no advertisments of any kind. Just good old phone solicitation. Anyway, the company laid off all of the telemarketing reps. Why, I'm not sure. Maybe it was because they sucked, always being rude and hanging up on people, or because of the national do not call list that went into effect. I'm not sure. But it makes me wonder how swcure my job is. Sure, my boss says not to worry, but there are people that have been laid off that you would have thought didn't have to worry about that. Anyways, who knows..... I've been putting out a few resumes here and there. I guess we'll see. Whatever happens, happens I guess.
