Yup, drove to Los Angeles yesterday for a taping of an MTV show called "Real Gay." It was all about gay reality t.v. stars. It was a forum type of a show, somewhat interesting and sometimes funny. But the kicker was that it was only supposed to last about an hour and a half...surprise!! We finally left four hours later at almost midnight to drive back to S.D.-- and apparently, Robert and I made the appropriate audience reaction faces, smiling, looking interested, clapping, etc. so, the producers told us that whenever they scanned the audience (which only consisted of about forty people) that they always paused on our reactive faces. And I didn't know that it was a dress up party, so there's Robert looking all suave and put together, and me in converse and a do rag. Eh, at least he looks "real" gay and I look like a "real" dyke. All in all, a fun day if nothing else, for the simple reason it was something different. You can all make the "appropriate" audience facial expression now. Whatever the fuck that means.
