I went up to Sterling this past weekend and camped and went cano-e-ing on the rifle river... Great time!!
Jason, John, ERicka, Laura, and luke all came. The campsite was pretty cool. I've never been to one that big before. Unfortunately we got stuck on bunk hill all by ourselves and about a ten minute walk from any other campers. When we did go down there it was like a huge party, people our age were just drinking EVERYWHERE! I did partake in small bit of drinking myself... i won't say how many cases of beer we drank because i wouldn't want to scare anyone... but we finished off a few of them, and i'll remind you that two of the six that went don't drink beer. Anyway it was a nice relaxing time.
Jason was my canoeing partner. I think by the end of the trip he hated me. when we started down the river he was like, katie you don't need to paddle, i'll do it you can just sit and drink... and of course i was fine with this. by the end of the trip he was saying " Hey drunk ass sit still." "katie stop moving" "katie get out and walk!" hahahah it was great. Around the middle of the trip my beverages were helping me to lose my balance on this very small canoe quite easily and i managed to flip our canoe three times in two minutes!! (each time cracking up as i fell) i did learn a lesson from jason in all of this A COOZY IS NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO LEAN OVER THE EDGE OF THE CANOE FOR!!. whoops! anyway, we all made it to the end of the river... some walking (laura) some canoeing partnerless (john) some soaking wet(jason and i) and ericka and luke were competely dry..(they had to be extra careful, they had the cooler. but all of us, completely drunk.
I did wake up the next morning and my entire left leg is covered in bruises( it's sooo gross) it looks like a have a huge tatoo on my leg.
I've decided i need a break from beer (maybe drinking on the whole) for a bit... but i'm not sure if i can just go cold turkey. ;) lol
