no, it's not 800x600, that joke is so 2010. and 2009. and 200--okay you know what
I'm usually against making these things because lets face it...do any of us ACTUALLY follow through on them? I know I never have. This year though, with as many changes as I've had in my life, I've decided I'm going to actually do a lot more with myself. The past three years feel almost like a complete waste to me...mostly because I felt trapped, unhappy, just...I guess over-all kind of miserable with my then-current living state. Its 2011 and a lot has changed since then. I'm 22 years old now and I'm not getting any younger. Now more than ever is the time for me to do what I've always wanted. I have that freedom. Hell, I even have the resources. So what's stopping me other than...well, me? Here is a list of resolutions I jotted down that I'll copy in to here...perhaps as I complete them, I'll come back and cross them out. This entry can be kind of like a checklist of sorts for me. Hopefully by the end of 2011 the list will be completely crossed off. We'll see!
NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS FOR 2011
----------------------------
* Become involved in a lot more things...performances, productions, whatever. I'll never get anywhere unless I put myself out there.
* Take up voice lessons again
* Practice my instruments a lot more. I've sadly become very rusty with everything I used to be very good at, especially the drums. NOT LIVING IN AN APARTMENT would really help that, but I digress.
* Produce a lot more original material. And some covers too, but I need to move out of that phase sooner than later.
* ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WITH MY WEBSITE. I'm basically paying $7 a month to host my friends, at this point >_>
* Find people to collaborate and perform with
* Get headshots taken/build up a professional image for myself
* Tying in to the last one, become more stylish or...something x_X
* Take better care of myself
* Phase out negativity in my life, including shady people and those who take advantage of my friendship
* Keep up with the positive people, friends, and this freaking blog
...that's all I can really think of for now, the list will probably grow if I think of anything else, though.
