Collapse your world.
Too much attention. Too much talking. Too many words crafted to defend, to convince, to fight without fighting. Too much about external things. Too exhausting. Too fake.
Make it small.
Step outside and stare at the moon. Imagine the vastness between the familiar, silent light and yourself. Imagine beyond to the system, the galaxy, the universe. Make the planet insignificant. Seek comfort from the infinite like a blanket.
Step away from it. Leave it outside.
There is nothing but this room, and this room is nothing. Shut off the lights. Let darkness rush in. No distractions. The sounds you hear are not yours. Leave them be. Burrow deep down inside yourself. Find the True Things that are your core. Surround yourself with them. Tear down everything else.
Tomorrow you will crawl out into the blinding sun, into the cacophonous world. Tomorrow the shell forms anew.
Tonight there is only you.
