Goodbye dalf
I know I never really knew personally everyone on the irc server called Nevernet, however reading the friends list makes me realise that I must have been closer than I though to this online community.
After reading dreamofshane's journal, and then realising that phillipthorpe named someone in his journal, I made the link after I saw the hyperlinked the name to the journal.
Part of me feels sad and it's not nice that it's happened. For those of you who don't know, he was being treated for cancer. It looks like however, that he's lost the battle.
To the Nevernet community, my condolences. Dalf was fun to talk to, and even though I never met him, he was always helpful. To me he'll always be "Dalf", yet to the rest of the world he was known as Scott Laws. It's a strange way I'll admit to hear of the news considering I've been out of touch with Nevernet for a while, but in some small way, I still feel affected by his passing.
You will be missed Dalf....
