Bit of a strange start to the week, on Monday I'd invited Ashley round to generally hang out and have a good time. We went to the Bear Cross and had a 3-course meal. Although we had been considering going to The Bridge originally but on inspection of their menu we couldn't really find much we liked, aside roast dinner but they only served this at midday and neither of us was likely to even be awake by this time. We also considered going down Bournemouth to The Goat And Tricycle, or maybe Poole but we decided we'd prefer something with closer proximity. So the Bear Cross was the most obvious choice since it's only a five-minute walk from my house. The meal at The Bear Cross was of very good quality, this we always agree on, but we're used to great quantity too. I was quite satisfied with how much I'd had, it was a lot more than I'd been eating for the past week. Afterward we (mainly I) drank quite a lot and stayed up until the morning, mainly talking. It was a pleasant evening but because of the late start and early finish it used up both my Monday and Tuesday. Ashley had a better Tuesday, probably because he wasn't nearly as wasted as I was. It was about 5pm 'til I woke up.

Wednesday, yesterday, I got up and went to work for a few hours, just to make something out of the day. Though I was pleased to find that Allan & Bath had finally paid up the £980 they owed us, so I was able to take my share (which by the time I'd given Ashley £300 I owed him meant I was left with £233, of which £200 I've spent on the final bills for 20 Market Close. So the money is already spent. But it means that everyone who was urgently awaiting money have now been paid, which is good.

This morning I made an early start (which was 10am for me) having only slept for four hours. Went down to Kinson and paid in a cheque from Poole council and had my hair cut which was rather overdue since the previous time was back in May before Rachel arrived. I now plan to head off to TK Maxx and Matalan to see if there are any decent clothes there, since I'm in real need of some new apparel. Afterward, onward to work for another reasonably short shift, ready for an early night in preparation for an early start. Back to University tomorrow, and I know that the morning session will be fairly tame and primarily about industrial placement that I fully intend upon avoiding, though I need a bit more clarity on how to officially do this.

I'm looking forward to Ezio even though we're some 20 days from the event. Hope he plays more than his previous visit of an astonishing five songs though. I think we should pay for content actually, how about £1/song for an incentive... Even if it means paying £20 it would be worth it!

money, the bear cross, haircut, food, fun, 20 market close, university
