I had a fantastic bank-holiday weekend, really relaxing. On Sunday it was Poole Park Fest. '08, where every year my family and friends gather for a little lounging around in the Park, having a few drinks and looking around the stalls and occassionally listening to Mr Kyps' music playing on the main stage.

Monday I took off, since it was a bank holiday! Though I got surprisingly little done, though I did clean the kitchen and dining areas. Later on I started on the "moving rooms and putting the beds in the correct place" project. I didn't get very far with that, and was invited to the local pub by Shanna, and surprisingly enough, I didn't say no!

Tuesday I was up bright and early, at about 6am! After cycling down Holes Bay, I went to work, and started to update the systems, then Uncle (not really my Uncle) gave me a couple of devices (Firewalls) I'd ordered the previous week, I've been trying to set those up ever since. Rather quickly though, it was home time :(, and so I put my toys down and cycled home. By the time I'd gone shopping, cooked dinner, ate dinner, and washed up it was about 10pm. I managed to find it in me though to finish taking the old bed to pieces... It didn't take me long, and Rachel came online. We had a short chat whilst she was at University. It's been wonderful every morning to have a loving offline message left by Rachel, puts a smile on my face every time :). Whilst she and her mum were travelling home, I managed to talk Ashley into helping me assemble the new bed, he's the expert at this, since he's assembled many beds recently. It was built in about half-an-hour, probably half the time it would've taken me. Rachel came back online, and I was downloading The Eagles from the Internets, I spoke to Rachel for a while, and listened to the tracks until about midnight... And then I was very much ready for a nice sleep.

Wednesday (yesterday) I was up by around 7:20 and decided to get the bus into work, fearing rain may come. I spent the day at work playing with the new Firewalls, waited for Ashley to finish some free food, and went home. I made myself some dinner, ate, washed up, finished the Shiraz I'd opened the night before and listened to The Eagles. I was pretty much dozing off at the computer by 9pm, so I headed to bed fairly early.

Today I was up at 6am, unsurprsingly after the early finish, and I've cycled to work and busy playing with the Firewalls (again). Looking forward to lunch-time :). I came onto Yahoo and realised I'd missed Rachel by about half an hour... I thought she said she'd be online 9:30pm her time, when it was my time apparently, woops!

Throughout the week I've been missing Rachel a lot. We had such a lovely time, her entire visit seems like a dream.

I've changed my diet rather dramatically, and I'm now cycling to work and back almost every day, and occassionally doing some extra exercise. I couldn't do any of this without having quit smoking, and I couldn't've done that without the love and support from Rachel. :)

It'll take a while for my body to adjust to the changes, but I'm already feeling more energetic, just need to increase my lung capacity and strength of my heart again, to be able to exercise a little harder.

Living with Shanna has been good, and in comparsion to Adele it's been a complete reform. Ashley actually told me he was happy. After listening to that man talk recently, you'd think happiness was an impossible emotion. Shows what a difference having the right people around you can make.
