Darius told me he'd meet me at the office today at 7pm when I phoned him earlier in the day. I mused with Ashley that this probably meant about 9pm (given Darius' long standing history of being 2-3 hours late). Ashley was called out to a new branch on Ashley Road, but didn't leave until 7pm, the exact time that Darius was due to be at the office!
Ashley informed me that he "wouldn't be long". Though when I called Darius at 8pm, I was apparently waiting for Ashley to "finish up".
So now both Ashley and Darius are wasting my time. Is their time worth more than mine? I consider time a very valuable resource at the moment. I wonder... Would either of these people wait around for me?
I hope that the answers yes because I'm doing them that same courtesy right now.
