Oh, you are all fantastic! I've been such an idiot; that explains everything! Why are people just waking up here? How are people that don't usually live on Earth getting here? How are the dead coming back?
A rift. A rift in time and space; it happens when people fiddle with things they shouldn't; testing out dimensional jumps, awakening creatures that don't belong on Earth. Really, almost anything can rip a hole. Now, I just have to find it.
[There's a pause, then the sound of something rotating. For anyone who has spun in an office chair real fast, the sound is familiar.] The problem is that I don't have the equipment to do so. The TARDIS is lost and the screw driver functions, but it isn't powerful enough to close a rift. I would need an unfathomable amount of energy to do that and even then, there's the risk of the Void.
[There's a hum.] I could always wait it out, sure. OH! Right, the Demons!
[There's a loud thwack and a rush of wind. Seconds later, a muffled slam of the door comes through the line. It is repeated about five minutes later.] Demons, demons, demons! All cultures have demons, different names for them, different legends. But if that is what the problem is here then -
- then I need to find a library. Or talk to experts of demonic legends. Or both.
