Really old Gaiden fic pimps.
caeseria asked me for old Gaiden fics that I really loved. I can only list those that are about 4-5 years ago, as that was the period where I read everything, and re-read everything that was on FF.net. There was only 50+ pages of Saiyuki, minimal Sue-infestation and everything was great. I realise looking back now, a lot of the fics are now gone, or have been reposted under another author's name.
Now, there are a lot more Gaiden fics, and I must confess to have not read all of them, time is against me, years later, and I am no longer the impressionable little fangirl I was.
I look at these fics, and I remember my life as it passed. Strange how fanfiction can do that to you, right?
I stress that these are fics which I loved, long time ago, they are all published in the years 2000-2004/5. I took a break from Saiyuki in 2005/6, mostly because at that time my parents cut off the internet. So I may have missed out fics from those years. Fics from 2006-2008 are equally awesome, especially the ones written by my Flist, but these are the fics that pretty much inspired me to love Saiyuki Gaiden that little bit more.
First of all, the FF.net ones.
Saturday Afternoon Tenpou Gensui and his thoughts. ( There're tiny shounen-ai implications -- they're there, if you're a crazy fangirl, like me. ^~ )
Tenpou's train of thoughts. I rather like her style and the way the story goes all fluttery and warm, as if its a Saturday afternoon, with nothing much to do, the sun coming in the window and everything is just so lazy and just right.
Sunshine
This is the fic which I suspect makes me crave sad angsty endings, even though it hurts so much. Goku & Konzen centric. If you sing this song to me now, I will cry, even though its been a long time since I read it.
Mitsima This is not a fic, but an author. Sincerely, she is one of my idols in the fanfiction world, I must have re-read her fics again and again. The Tenpou in my head is shaped almost entirely by her, and her fiction haunted my thoughts till even now.
Life Beautiful Kenren and Tenpou mush... timeline? somewhere between now and then... definitely yaoi. you've been warned. enjoy. :)
I love fluff, this is another instance of why I love it. It is most probably the first 10K fluff fic I've read, and it made a huge impact on my fangirl mind.
This [ff.net] and this [aff.net] and ohajiki are the same person. On the FF.net, First Times is one of my favourite 10K fics ever, and Kuji, on AFF is the 'adult' version. ^___^
Red AllianceFirst Litouten’s attempt to get rid of a certain marshal and the one-time alliance between a taishou and a king dragon, because blood has been shed in Heaven.
I love this fic to effing bits! But sadly, Seagull-san is somewhat dead, as my emails to her have not been answered, and I'm getting kind of worried.
A Taishou and a Gentlemen Multi-chaptered fic. Oh god. I'm tearing up again. Kenren's death in this one was just so.. *wibbles*
Braid the moonlight Hehe, a cute lil' fic about Goujun and Gokuu.
A Lesson In Pregnance And Stalking by karuchan If I ever reference Stalker!Goujun, this is why. I love this fic to bits too, Stalker!Goujun is so cute and it played a part in how the Goujun in my head is formed.
Recollections Another one that makes me tear up. You can feel, hear, practically taste the longing and regret in this fic. ;__;
Flitation The fic that started this entire compilation. Hehehe. I love these two in here, I have no words, just read it and laugh.
That ends the FF.net section. I regret to see a lot of fics missing, most of them probably taken down by their authors. One such fic that I strongly recommend is Honeymoon. That's all I can remember, that fic has never left me. And I still tear up when I think about it. My summary of it is that Tenpou and Kenren were sent down to the lower world as punishment, but now they are mortal. Tenpou finds Kenren again, and they are happy until. *wibbles* I can't go on, I'm sorry.

Maya A very simple text archive of fics. These are seriously cute, and I love all the humor ones the most. Gaiden (With a difference) is also good, so is Come Into My Parlour and Rainy Night. ^___^
Games and Generals. Most probably the first 10K R fic I ever read, it rocked my socks off, and it still does. Hehehe.
Most of the rest are no longer there, I am sad. :( But at least I got the previlege of reading them once before, and I have can remember most of what I read. Hence, my semi-good marks at things that are written down. I was hopeless at Chemistry practical, so I guess that evens out.
