pulling an all-dayer

my appeal to NYJC was rejected. but you know what? i don't mind at all. in fact, i'm kinda happy. orientation does that to you, i guess. the last day was SO LONG, 7.30am to 10+pm, but it was fun. tiring, but fun. we had a barbecue in the courtyard (they call it the quadrangle to sound cool. its weird. ) and there was the school band rocking out on the podium and most of the j1 population jumping along with them, which was cool. the sound system is nothing special, but hearing songs like 'Check Yes Juliet' and 'Apologise' does one good after a super long day.
it was disappointing that my OG's cheer and skit didn't work out. people were lazy and shy and blah, and i feel like i'm the only drama mama in a rather large radius. D:
on wednesday, they were doing a CCA propaganda slideshow in the hall. and last year's choir team went guess where? to Prague! i was fairly bouncing in my seat when they were going through pictures of Old Times Square and the cathedrals. heehee. i made up my mind i would find one of the choir members (he had his photo around a lot, on the yjc site as well) and ask him if he liked the trip, and that he better have had, cuz its my capital :D :D :D i found him yesterday at the orientation finale, and he is a really nice guy that is actually gonna repeat the year because he wants a different combination. i'll see him in lit and econs lectures. he was really surprised i'm Czech. apparently everybody thinks i'm either american or british. and to those who heard i want to take h2 french, french. lol.
MY HOUSE IS THE BEST HOUSE FOR ORIENTATION!!! Brazhem beat Aydan, Cavida, Thosson and Vaunier to claim the treasure map from the captain whoo. i feel like my OG didn't contribute much to it, but whoo still happy! (and i still think giving everything latin names just to sound cool is a bit pretentious. like the motto. Florescat Concordia. Let Harmony Bloom? uh. ok. )
i got home at like 10.30pm hahaha. slept at midnight. woke up at 8.30. i'm currently under my mom's cold-curing regime.

looking forward to next week's start of lectures! sorry pi, i won't be joining you at nanyang, but i hope you enjoy your orientation :)

school: orientation, yjc, friends
