ugh i haven't posted since results D: somebody shoot me.

*I love my new phone! his name is antonius. bluetooth is awesome. i have the cutest and most annoying message tone ever. fedora sent it to me.
*speaking of fedora, faith left for australia to study. here's wishing you all the best, faith, i'm sure you'll enjoy it there! make the best of everything life gives you! australia ain't no lemon, but have as much lemonade as you want :)
*chinese new year shopping with prisia has made me inordinately proud in finally making her look like a girl. red shirt, black folded skirt (ABOVE KNEE. OH YEAH. just don't run in skirts, pris. really. please. ), black heel-less shoes (and yet she still complains about how they hurt.. ) and a matching necklace. she was horrified when i told her she needed accessories for the outfit. but hey, both the shirt and skirt are flat colors, you NEED something. everybody, both sides of the family and her friends, comment she looks good :) i is proud.
*faith received a haruhi suzumiya uniform from prisia as a goodbye gift. lol. unexpected, yet not so. for me, anyway.
INTERMISSION: LOL THEY'RE PLAYING 'SEXYBACK' ON 987, I'M HAVING VISIONS.
*on the subject of sexyback, today was probably the best day i could ever ask for, (therefore the icon) spent on the last weekend before jc starts. saku and imprinted_soul came over for a potc marathon! love love looove. somehow they got on the wrong side of the bus, so they had a scenic ride but arrived safe, sound and smiling : D omg ochie gave me the most gorgeous pencilcase, bought in india : )) its embroidered and soft and ohsopretty! after watching 'the curse of the black pearl' we went to thomson plaza's subway. mm tuna sandwich. after a while we decided to check out the photo booth outside j8, but for $6 we only got four identical shots. singapore's photobooths stink. we were all seriously squished inside. the photo only has like half my face, a third of saku's, but a lovely shot of ochie's heh. i've pinned my snippet on my still-quite-empty cork board. i got a new pair of flats in like 5 minutes. except the size numbering is weird, i'm a size 7 but the shoe that fit was labelled as a 9. -___- we watched extras, bloopers and deleted scenes on the 'at world's end' dvd ochie brought, they were so awesome, i'm gonna scour youtube heh. unfortunately there wasn't time for another movie with ochie since she had to leave earlier, but saku and i managed to watch 'dead man's chest' before evening came. i accompanied her to the main road for her dad to fetch her. we sang 'hakuna matata' to pass the time, and we talked, and when walking back home i was near crying. i'm gonna miss you guys so, so much. i always say that hey, we're not dying or moving to another country, but still. STILL.
*ugh i so do not want to go to YJC. nanyang has absolutely no information on its appealing procedure on its site. it says the appeal period will be from 30th jan to 6 feb, SO WHY IS THERE NO INFO THERE, ITS THE 31ST, AND ITS THE EVENING TO BOOT, HUH HUH HUH? i've already sent them like one online message and one email. i don't know if its because its a saturday, or something else.
*i have a steady gym slot at jw, which i'm very happy with. its on sunday afternoons, so i can earn money even when school starts. :) the journey takes rather a long time, but it will be a little better after the circle line is completed. the nearest station will be called Pioneer.
*mom says that teaching bertie to climb down trees butt-first might be progressing slowly. slowly is better than not at all, so whoo!
*i got an A in the Certificate of Proficiency in English! i am so so happy and relieved. my best component was writing and the worst was speaking. my mom and sis are still ragging me for not finding out the format of the exam. >< i was super nervous for the speaking part, i guess it showed. it feels nice to be finally proud of some achievement though.
*for a non-chinese who doesn't celebrate chinese new year, i got surprisingly quite a bit in hongbao money ._. i went to a chinese style lunch with my mom. her chinese fitness client invited us, and it was the 10-course meal one. I HATE SHARKSFIN SOUP. its foul. its this thick stuff that looks like glue, with stringy slimy bits in, which i guess is the fin. its disgusting. my mom and i were wondering if we should refuse to eat it, but you know how the chinese see it as a delicacy etc etc, so in the end we decided to be polite. it was FOUL. i'm never eating it again. not just for the taste, but i'm against sharksfin soup in principle. and the roast piglet. i might just become vegetarian, but its really hard to give up chicken.
*i love pomelos. even though like 2/3s of the mass is the peel.
*i am sad i can't listen to cds. my cd player is screwed. not only can i only use provisional batteries in the external battery pack because the internal compartment had a battery leak, but it can't play copied cds. >[
