The first 2 days of orientation are over! yeah. Two very very different days, those.
Day 1 was SUPER BORING. for us as well as the j1s, i think. all the dry stuff had to be done, like sample lectures, subject advisory panel, choosing... plus since they didn't know anybody, you couldn't really blame them for being so shy and unenthu. boring but hectic at some parts anyway, amazingly time-wasting at other parts, like waiting for people to come to my game station and wishing i had brought my homework with me. well.
(oh yeah by the way i wake up at 4.30. we need to be in college by 6.20 you see)
Day 2 was pretty much great. really! the games were more fun, the ogls were high (i'm not saying they weren't on the first day. but i'm pretty sure they all had trouble with their ogs at first) and best of all, the OGs themselves were more bonded and participative. i had loads of people coming to my station too, whether for the game or for the property. i only hope my projected voice didn't sound too much like shouting. i was high too, sam gave me ADHD-inducing red bull in the morning and i was bouncing up and down and running up stairs and craving the banja. (BANJA, MAHIN. WITH A B. WE DON'T LET THE JUNIORS DO DRUGS, SO DON'T MISUNDERSTAND. ) the ogls are win, seriously. i don't know how we're going to choose the best ogl, because there are so many great ones.
i managed to sneak in the hall for a while and observe the mass dance. i wanted to do mass dance :[ so fun. good news though! my name is not down for games a la mode, so i'll be helping out with the mass dance instead!!! yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey. i shall tank up on red bull. how much per can?
and another thing. why the OGLs are so awesome. the house skits went without a hitch (apart from a slight delay because the music wasn't in the right format... it got reformatted to the right one in about 10 minutes) and they were so great, so cute, so amazing and well-rehearsed and enthusiastic that Ms S was tearing at the end, and proclaimed that there was no need for a rehearsal during the weekend. IS THAT BOOMZ OR WHAT. it was really very good. even the council president of the 23rd sc came up to the mike to praise the houses. great end to a great day, really.
of course there were hitches in terms of overall planning and such, but its pretty tough to put a dampener on a day such as that. and as sam said, i had my share of eye candy. :P
i almost forgot! there was an extremely quotable moment i had with sam. stolen from her tumblr. ><
Sam: What's wrong with the male population??
Tereza: Everything, but we like them that way.
Tereza: OR nothing, and we like them that way too.
Sam: Oh. ROFLMFAO.
Valentines day is coming up. I'm so stupid, i wrote him a poem. i just got inspiration for the first two lines and the rest kind of came out. i won't be writing it here, not in the days of google and advanced search, but god, i feel like such an idiot. i don't know what i'm wishing for, whether for him to know or to not know... i guess i'm scared of being laughed at if he finds out. even the idea of that hurts. the whole thing is so bitter-sweet, its not even funny.
but yeah. crossing my fingers for my french application, doing geog essays, and awaiting the next 5 days of orientation. :)
love,

fun,
