I've been being musical lately. For the past three days me and my brother Danny sit and play. He plays guitar and I help him figure songs out. I actually make him play songs I want to hear. I have him learning lots of placebo songs like "This Picture" which he seems to like very much. I want to purchase a bass guitar. I suck at guitar so I think my chances at playing the bass would be better seeing that its easier.
Tonight I felt like I should practice on my keyboards and I brought out my microkorg. I can play along to Ladytron songs (most of them) and play the main melody. But its hard since their songs are all done on synths. I had never tried to play along to Deadsy before so I decided I'd give it a try tonight. I managed to figure out Key to Gramercy Park, Winners, Lake Waramaug, Itsy Bitsy Titsy Girl, this Goodnight, future years, and a little bit of Cruella. The solo on that one is a bit tricky for me. Maybe its cause I had to turn the volume down since my brother is sleeping.
One band that I can't seem to figure out at all is the Birthday Massacre. I can't figure their synth lines out at all. I've been trying. Hmm.
I want to really start that band with Matt. But time and distance are a problem. :-\
