CHARACTER
[series] Touhou Project
[full name] Miko Toyosatomimi is how canon refers to her. For official purposes, this will be her name. She has many others, though.
[age] 1437 - physically appears to be a young woman of mostly indeterminable age, but definitely adult.
[gender] All female, despite the 'prince' title.
[canon point] Just post Ten Desires.

http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Toyosatomimi_no_Miko[personality] Don't let the 'saint' title fool you. Or perhaps do - after all, when Miko gets to know someone, she definitely becomes more polite to them, as evidenced by inviting Reimu to her home and apologizing for being rude.
Still, don't let the 'saint' title fool you. Miko Toyosatomimi is not necessarily a good person.
When she first meets the heroines - no matter which one in the story - her initial reaction is to 'listen' to their desires, and from that discern their intent, and to even read deeply into who they are as people. From there... she essentially ignores their speaking, and finishes their sentences. This is, essentially, the 'rude' part that she later apologizes for. But here is where the wiki seems to be too kind - the way she ignores them, and the way she speak s to them radiates a sort of deep-seated egotism. 'And I shall become a living legend!' This is further made true by her history. She wanted to use Buddhism to rule Japan because she thought it would fail. And when it did, the people would cry out, that they needed a saint to save them, and she would resurrect as an immortal saint and save them via Taoism - which isn't actually suited to ruling, but she would be put into the perfect position of power to do it anyway. She essentially wanted to become a god. And so, Miko is very egotistical, especially to people that she just has met, or those that can discern her true power (or perhaps, even, her true intent).
Aside from the egotism - which is likely a product of being a crowned prince as much as anything else - she is pretty direct and forward with her observations. There's not a lot of mincing of words when she's talking to someone directly... if she talks to them directly and doesn't ignore them in favor of her own assumptions.
It's also to note that she really isn't all that trustworthy of an individual; she definitely has a manipulative streak to her. She did, after all, bring Mononobe no Futo into the Taoist fray, and in doing so, helped to start a holy war that ended with the, essentially, total destruction of the Mononobe clan to the Buddhists. And, when it came down to it, her entire plan to use Buddhism to placate Japan, and then rise up to rule it when they needed a hero, was essentially her planning to betray the entirety of Japan itself for her own gains of power and glory.
Among other things, she tends to not like youkai - probably a problem in Ukiyo, but with good reason. To become immortal, she had to become a hermit, and hermits apparently are very tasty to youkai. To this end, she has a habit of attacking them. But it's not as though she's defenseless - quite the opposite, part of the reason for the heroines of Ten Desires investigating her 'resurrection' is because all the youkai ran scared and even called in a powerful youkai from outside Gensokyo. She also doesn't particularly care for Buddhism. This comes from both the way she had to use Buddhism, despite not believing in it, to make the country complacent for her return to, essentially, take it over, and the fact it was the Buddhists that kept her sealed so she couldn't resurrect and do just that. However, non-Buddhist humans and other things like ghosts and spirits? She will be cordial and polite as always. There will always be an underlying sort of egotism, but at least she'll be friendly toward them.
[orientation] ZUN likes to not give any hints about romantic interests between characters, so it's a big, fancy 'unknown.'
[appearance] Naw. Even the bedhead is human.
[wish] She wishes to be revered as a god, to become an immortal legend.
[requested house] None here, cap'n!
[misc notes] Miko has the ability to listen to ten different conversations/desires/things at once. And not just listen, but comprehend them. This goes beyond just spoken words, though, and right into reading intent among other things - she's been known to finish sentences before they even start. She is known as a genius, though that's not necessarily a special power, simply the way her brain is.
Oh, and she's technically a very low-ranking immortal via a Shikaisen resurrection - essentially, she made another thing take her place in 'death' and so she's sort of cheating the system. It's why she can be, essentially, only human but 1400 years old. Technically she can't be killed because her name and allotted lifespan are removed from the 'record books' so to speak, but if something divine such as a judge of death or shinigami (or someone acting in the names of those things) comes after her, and she can't ward or fight them off, they can kill her. It's not full, true immortality, but, as said, a way simply to cheat the system instead.
Of course, being of the Touhou Canon, she also has her Danmaku/spell cards and ability to fly. Pretty much all of that will be gone - her hearing will remain sharp, but nothing outside the limits of a human who doesn't have the ability to listen to ten conversations at once.
SAMPLES
[Network Post] [It seems someone has been fiddling with the device, because it suddenly pops on in audio mode for the moment, in mid-conversation]
I can't hear anything. The desires are silent... they don't speak to me... ahh... is this what it means to be human again? They would take such things from me. There's nothing in the great Tao that explains what to do in these situations...
... Is this what it means to be deaf?
[click... click... and on comes the video feed; for her grumpy words earlier, she seems to hold a placid, friendly enough expression that seems only a bit curious]
Greetings... 'Ukiyo'. I am Kamitsumiya no Umayado no Toyotomimi no Mikoto. More commonly known as Toyosatomimi no Miko, if that is easier to remember, and even more commonly known as Regent Prince Shoutoku, heir to Empress Suiko. I understand I have been brought here for... 'water trade', though I also say their... explanations... lacked any kind of useful information.
Any who would assist, I will gladly help and offer my services in return at a later time.
[Smut Drabble] In her quest for immortality, with the use of things like cinnabar and other dangerous and damaging things, Toyosatomimi no Miko had ruined her body. It had left her underweight, scarred, though perhaps not ugly, far from perfect.
Of course, that means it's with a surprising strength that she took the initiative away from her 'client', who had yet been moving far too slowly for her, almost as though expecting her to become more dominant, pushing him over and onto his back. She left no time to be surprised or protest, however, as a moment later the old, familiar sensation of a man entering her, filling her, caused her to cry out. Her voice was loud for someone with such sensitive hearing - overriding any of the noises he made, almost as though she preferred to hearing her own voice over his.
But this was the way it had to be - she was Regent Prince Shoutoku - no man, no woman could dominate her. She was on top of the world, immortal and powerful. And it was her that made things happen...
