NHI!
welp i'm back, u prolly didn't know that i was gone but oh well, well all of us at NHI got to go to the "Texas Great Ambassador Debate" in College Station, TX, also known as A&M, it was so cool, we got there around 1:30 and we went to our dorms and dropped off our stuff, and then we took buses to the A&M campus for the opening ceremony, and then after that we went back to the dorms and went to sleep. next day we woke up at 5:30 'cuz we had to go back to the A&M campus (this goes on for a while) 'cuz we had to do our "rounds", which is what our debates were called, well me and my partner, Danae M., went to our first round and we went up against 2 guys from El Paso, oh these were the regions that were there: RGV, Dallas, El Paso, Central Texas, Houston, Baytown, and San Juan Diego, all rite so we did that round and we won, well the next one was against this guy and girl from San Juan Diego, then we had lunch, and after that we went up against uh..... i forgot haha, well the next round we went up against a guy and girl from Houston. well after the rounds we went to a "general session" to find out who would advance, well just so u know there are 4 events u can be in: C/X, cross-examination, Extemp., Oratory, or Mock Trial, well 2 teams from my team of C/X got to advance, 1 person from oratory, and 1 team from Mock Trial. the rest of the ppl who didn't advance would compete in somethin' called "adjudication" where a team of 4 from different regions would compete to get a trophy. well the next day we went to the finals, where one team of C/X went up against one team from Dallas, this team consists of a gay dude and a black dude, which is a odd combo, anyway our team like ass-raped them, they like anialated them, then our team in Mock Trial, anialated a team from Houston, and it was goin' good until our girl from Oratory got 2nd place, well after the finals we went to the awards ceremony, we didn't win 1st place but we did win 2nd and 3rd, 'cuz our team was so big. well after that we went to the dance, which lasted 'til midnight, and all of us got our "groove" on. well the next day we packed up and went to the closing ceremony, which was just a slideshow of what had happened, which was cool. well we got our luggage and put it on the buses, well after about an hour and half we stopped at the gallaria in Houston, which was really big, then after about 2 hours, we left to Astroworld. we got there and we saw all the rides and i got on the "Serial Thriller" twice. but the second time was a mistake 'cuz b4 we got on me and 3 other guys, put our stuff into this guys' backpack, well there was 3 cell phones, 4 cameras, and 4 wallets, in that backpack, and it got stolen. well i was pissed, and so were the other guys, well we looked around and we couldn't find it, so we went to report it, and my friend said that they would most likely take the stuff out and leave the backpack, which did happen. they took the 3 cell phones, they took the 4 cameras, and they took 3 of the 4 wallets, but they took the money out of the 4th, so all of us were pissed, but we couldn't do anythin'. well we left and stopped at a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut, but not all of us wanted that, so we went across the street to a Gas Station/McDonalds, we ate and after and hour we got up to leave, well as i was leaving i got stopped by this black dude and he said "hey man, do u want to buy some cologne?" and he started naming the ones he had, and then he said "i'll give u a free sample, i already gave all these ppl free samples" which was bullshit, then he said "my friend over there is givin' that guy free samples rite now" i knew it wasn't really cologne, so i said "nah man not rite now, i got to go" and i like slipped back to the bus as quickly as i could, then we left to home and we saw "Anchorman" which gets funnier everytime i see it. well that's my weekend........
