Such an abrupt ending, I mean, they usually are. I did like how the Lost title colors are now inverted. I thought John was going to be in the box, but how is it that there's two of him now? I'm sure it's something simple.
You saw that coming? We were totally taken aback, lol. ^^;
The second Locke is obviously the guy we saw at the beginning of the show with Jacob, whoever he is. I have questions about whether this means he's now Locke + this guy + a new body, or whether this guy just copied his body so well he's got all the right brain wrinkles to know Locke's personality and memories - but I guess we'll find out next season!
The ending was perfect for me, really. I don't feel angry or upset, just peaceful and excited about the final season, but not overly impatient for it to get here. I hope it's fantastic. :D
:edit: I missed the first thirty minutes when I came to work, and I just rewatched the episode. It has to be that guy from the beginning of the episode. But how!? Next season it is. :D
Ohhhh - man, yeah, that scene was key. The big question for next season (aside from, y'know, what happened when the bomb blew up) is who that guy is, why he wanted to kill Jacob, and which of them is good or evil? (Also - for me at least - who Richard Alpert is and why he's so sexy. ;D Should totally go snag me a Richard icon.)
Watched the episode another time through, haha. ^^; Is it just me or was that moment that Bernard and Juliet had kind of weird when he asked her if she wanted tea? Also, why wasn't Juliet visited by Jacob? unless he might have visited her in another point in her life, but he did visit everyone else in the episode.
Yeah, that pause seemed kinda weird. That's why I think a lot of us attached some significance to the hand she had on her stomach at the time. It could just be rubbing in how she and Sawyer have lost all the normalcy their lives had in Dharmaville, but who knows...
I didn't notice that Juliet was the only player in the bomb incident who hadn't been visited by Jacob! That fits with our theory that Juliet turned out to be the only human "variable" in Daniel's equations...
It would have been weird if Jacob did walk in after Juliet got the bad news from her parents. Hahaha. I'm sure this has nothing to do with it, but I can't stop thinking about it. Think anything about Juliet hitting the nuke eight times with the rock? Such an epic ending.
Juliet was phenomenal at the end of that episode. I was so sad about her and Sawyer separating, crying at her being dragged down the hole - I wanted Sawyer to jump after her, and I was pissed at Kate for being an ineffectual whore as usual. But when Juliet yelled "son of a bitch" and slammed that bomb... no one else could have done that. She had to be there.
Alright, sorry but I just thought about this... What if...the unnamed man from the beginning episode actually tried this before? Tried coming to the island, I mean. As in, he's returned as Locke, but what if he's returned as someone else? The only person that I could think of is Christian, and if so, how, again!? :P Oh, man, 2010 could not come ANY sooner.
