So this weekend really made me realize how stressed I have been lately. I've been trying not to worry, but I am. Somehow I have to pay Ball State around $2000, because I just recently found out that the Army won't be paying for this semester...and I don't know where I'm going to get the money. I've also been worrying about everyone else way too

Man, don't even waste your time with people who want to label all members of the service "murderers". At this point in their life, they're helpless. At some point down the road, they'll get a broader worldview and change their tune. That being said, being self-righteous about being in the armed forces is only a hair better, dude.

That sucks about your dad. He's wrong to be such a harsh judge of character. I guess that's just how some people are. You gotta look to yourself for self-respect and self-esteem though, not the approval of others.

Most those folks "slandering" America are doing so because they care and they want to see a change for the better. Sometimes that change requires military action, sometimes it requires policy change, sometimes it requires a change in American culture. There were lots of folks that sat around and "bitched" about America, saying it was corrupt and whatnot, during that whole civil rights business. I think it's safe to say they had a point. They didn't have to join the military to defend the country's integrity.

As for your friends... man, we all know you can get hot-headed sometimes. So fucking what? We all got our own negative quirks and I don't think any of us are resentful about it.
