Title: The Smell of Spring
Day/Theme: Apr 1 - The smell of spring

Phoenix drew his eyebrows together in a vague frown, spotting a stain he hadn't been able to remove from the toilet. The not-so-faint hum of the TV filtered through the open door. He heard the sounds of steel against steel accompanied by Maya's cheers of, "Take that, Evil Magistrate!", sounds he heard every week, Sunday, 8:00AM.
"Hmm..." Putting the brush he was using back where it belonged, he rummaged around the laundry for the bleach before trundling back to the toilet. How much did he need to use again? He forgot. Oh well.
Pouring a capful into the toilet bowl, he turned to return to the laundry, when Maya ambled in, stretching her arms. Her jaw dropped when she caught sight of Phoenix. "What, you're still not done?" she exclaimed. "Nick, if you go any slower you'll be going backwards!" She pinched he nose, wrinkling her face. "Why do you need to clean it every week anyway? It stinks!"
"...What?" You clean toilets because they stink.
She crossed an arm loosely around her stomach, hand curled against her chin. "I guess I understand why you only ever clean the toilet. It's easier to keep a small part of the office clean instead of all of it. Oh, I know!" Her face brightened as she thought of an idea, and Phoenix couldn't help but wonder what weird words would tumble from her mouth next. "All it needs now are flowers so it doesn't smell! Lots, so it can smell nice, like a garden in spring!"
Phoenix stared at her. He wanted to protest; the flowers would need watering and care and besides why would he want a garden in the office toilet? But he said instead, recalling something, "I think Edgeworth did something like that..."
